Hey everyone! My name is Joe Maciejewski, and ive been simming since Flight Simulator 98, I love aviation and plan to become an airline pilot, I am 16 years old. Anyway In all the Sims, There has been a lack of something, The lack of the rumble of the runway, the lack of the clacking of loose things while rumbling down the runway at over 160 MPH. So I FINALLY decided to make a rumbling sound while in the cockpit. This is a real recording while in the cockpit of a United Airlines 777-200 I hope it will meet your demands for more real sounds on the ground. :)
The Installation is 4 steps, I do highly recommend you take your time to install this, in my opinion, it is worth it! :)
Installation:
1.First put the runways.wav file into your main Flight Simulator 2004 Folder (ex. C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/Sound
2.Then whatever aircraft you want to use it with, goto the Sound.cfg file of the aircraft and find where it says [GROUND_ROLL] Where it says that, make it look like the following
3.!!!! IMPORTENT !!!! Check to see if you have any Wind sounds in your sound.cfg, if you do, change the maximum volume to 6000
4. !!!! IMPORTENT !!!! Finally Start Flight Simulator 2004 and goto your Sound Settings, and drag the Environment Bar to 60, so you can hear the rumble well.
